Thank you for your interest in the website that will be the main website for the residents of Hopetoun.
The intention for the website is to create a reference for current and prospective residents of Hopetoun. It creates a market area where advertisers have high to prospective customers. New residents may have relocated internationally, interstate, or from elsewhere in WA – many of these families have little or no knowledge of the goods and services available in this area and are actively seeking information on the internet.
Sports and community events will be listed free of charge.
Forum content will be updated regularly to entice viewers to visit the site on a daily and weekly basis, keeping it attractive for advertisers.
The advertising rates are as follows:

Business Directory listing is $100+GST per annum. A brief description of your business, the services you offer, and your contact details and/or website address can be included. Advertisers will get free listing in the business directory for the duration of the advertisement placing on the website.
The following will apply to all advertising:
- Advertisements contracts for 12 months
- Each allocated position will have up to 5 advertisements allocated – these will be viewed randomly each time a viewer refreshes the page. Should you wish to have exclusive use of a position, please contact Jill Hutchison.
- All prices exclude GST.
- Costs exclude the creation of an advertisement. Should you require an advertisement to be created or designed, please contact us for a quotation.
- Unless otherwise stated, prices are monthly rates, based on a 12 month contract, paid in full in advance.
- Advertisers are to supply an electronic version of their advertisement at least 14 days in advance of the commencement of the advertisement viewing.
- Advertisements will only be aired on the website upon receipt of full payment.
- Multiple advertisements are permitted, depending on space available.
- Advertising will be provided on a first-paid-first-served basis.
- Due to limited advertising opportunities, a waiting list will be created for 6 months in advance
- While we will encourage website users to support the advertising businesses, there is no guarantee of increased business as a result of utilitising this website.
- If you already have a webpage, the advertisement can be "clicked on" to direct users to your website.
- Payment can be done by cash, direct transfer, cheque, Eftpos, Visa or Mastercard.

Doing a rough calculation and estimation, it could be said that if each of these new families/couples have $2000 a month to spend on goods and services then this would equate to over $240 000 a month more money in the local economy than there was 5 years ago. Calculating this over a year, this amounts to $2,88 million annually. Using the same calculation base, if each couple/family were to spend $3000 a month then it would equate to R4.3million per annum. A large percentage of this "new" population shop online and can access the internet at work and at home – so the stores that have an online presence are more likely to benefit from this increased spending locally.
This website will be updated weekly, and will contain as much information as possible to keep users returning to the site. Advertisements on this site will be highly visible to all who view the site.
